A) Parts of Speech
- The Noun: Identifying types (standard, proper, abstract, etc.), determiner usage, gender, and number.
- The Pronoun: Different types and their usage.
- The Verb:
- Intransitive: Verbs that don’t take a direct object.
- Transitive (Finite): Verbs that take a direct object, with a conjugated form.
- Non-finite (Participle, Infinitive, Gerund): Verbs that do not change according to the subject.
- Linking Verb: Connects the subject to a subject complement.
- Phrasal Verb: Combination of a verb with a preposition or adverb.
- Modals: Verbs expressing necessity, possibility, or permission.
- The Adjective & Adverb: Modifying nouns and verbs/adjectives, respectively.
- The Preposition: Indicates relationships between nouns/pronouns and other words in a sentence.
- The Conjunction: Joins words, phrases, or clauses.
B) Idioms & Phrases
- Understanding the meanings and kinds of idiomatic expressions.
- Identifying phrases in context.
C) Clauses
- Principal Clause: The main clause in a sentence.
- Subordinate Clauses:
- Noun Clause
- Adjective Clause
- Adverbial Clause & Types (time, condition, reason, etc.)
D) Corrections
- Focus on correcting errors related to:
- Tense, verb, preposition, determiner, gender, number, and subject-verb agreement.
E) Sentences & Transformations
- Different sentence structures:
- Simple Sentence: One independent clause.
- Compound Sentence: Two independent clauses joined by a conjunction.
- Complex Sentence: One independent clause and at least one subordinate clause.

- Degrees of comparison: Positive, Comparative, and Superlative.
